Otway National Park boasts some of the most magnificent and unspoiled landscapes in Victoria, extending 60km from Apollo Bay to Princetown along a rugged and inaccessible coastline. The park, which is exposed to harsh winds and heavy seas, exemplifies a rare continuously cliffed coastline. The ranges merge with the Southern Ocean, providing a striking backdrop for the stunning coastal scenery and producing streams that flow towards the western shores of Bass Strait. Along the coast, sandstone platforms display intriguing shapes that have been sculpted by waves and sprays, while tall, moist eucalypt forests of majestic mountain ash thrive on the protected slopes.
