Toolangi State Forest, located 60 km north east of Melbourne, offers a range of recreational activities such as camping, bushwalking, picnicking, bird watching and fishing. The forest boasts several scenic walking trails, such as Tanglefoot Loop, Myrtle Gully Circuit, Wirrawilla Walk and Kalatha Giant Tree Walk, catering to different levels of difficulty and fitness. Due to its high rainfall, the forest may become waterlogged during heavy rain periods, and thunderstorms are common during summer, while light snowfalls may occur in winter.
